4K Streaming
What is 4K Streaming?
4K streaming on cam sites means ultra high-definition video at 2160p (3840×2160 pixels), offering the highest clarity and detail available on live cam and adult cam platforms. It's a step above HD streaming and requires more bandwidth and capable hardware on both ends.
How 4K streaming works on cam sites: the performer needs a 4K camera and a strong upload connection (often 15–25 Mbps or more). The platform must encode and deliver 4K, and viewers need enough download speed and a 4K-capable display to benefit. Not all of the best cam sites support 4K; it's still less common than HD. Where it's available, it may be limited to certain performers, private shows, or premium members. If your connection can't handle 4K, the stream will buffer or the site will drop you to a lower quality like HD or SD.
When comparing cam sites, 4K is a premium feature that can make a real difference if you have the bandwidth and screen for it. For more on quality and requirements, see our entries on stream quality, HD streaming, and bandwidth.
