Chargeback

What is Chargeback?

A chargeback is a reversal of a payment made via credit card, usually requested by the cardholder through their bank. On cam sites, chargebacks are taken seriously: they represent lost revenue and often high fees for the platform, so frequent or abusive chargebacks can lead to permanent account bans.

How chargebacks work in the context of live cam and adult cam sites: if you dispute a charge (e.g., you didn't recognize it, didn't authorize it, or had a bad experience), your bank may reverse the payment. The cam site then loses the money and may be charged a fee. Sites track chargeback rates per user; too many chargebacks flag you as a risk, and platforms may block your payment method or ban your account to prevent further losses. Chargebacks are not a way to get free tokens or private shows—they're a formal dispute process that can have lasting consequences.

If you have a billing issue on a cam site, contact the platform's support first; many will refund or adjust in legitimate cases. Reserving chargebacks for real fraud or unauthorized use helps keep payment options available for everyone. For more on billing, see our entries on discreet billing and cryptocurrency.
