Multi-streaming
What is Multi-streaming?
Multi-streaming means broadcasting your live cam show to multiple cam sites at the same time. Performers use it to reach a larger audience and diversify earnings across adult cam and live cam platforms instead of committing to a single site.
How multi-streaming works on cam sites: the performer uses streaming software (e.g., OBS) to send one video feed to several platforms at once, or uses a service that restreams to multiple destinations. Viewers on each site see the same stream; the model may read chat from one primary platform or try to monitor several. Not all cam sites allow multi-streaming—some require exclusivity or limit restreaming. Those that allow it give performers more flexibility and can increase total tips and exposure. The tradeoff is managing multiple chats and complying with each platform's rules.
If you're a viewer, the model you're watching may also be live elsewhere; that's normal when multi-streaming is allowed. If you're a performer researching the best cam sites, check each platform's policy on multi-streaming before you start. For more on broadcasting, see our entries on broadcasting and stream quality.
